Established in : Built on the banks of the Ill River in 1590, on stilts with a wooden frame, the establishment was historically structured in small flats transformed into wonderful and atypical baroque salon-boudoirs, distributed over four levels.
It became a restaurant at the end of the 1950s and its particularity is to offer customers 5 intimate spaces. The 1741 exists as such since May 10th 2012. On the façade, the numbers 1741 evoke the date of completion of the Palais des Rohan, which belonged to Armand-Gaston Maximilien de Rohan.
Born in England and trained at prestigious establishments (Hôtel du Palais* in Biarritz, Le Vieux Logis* in Trémolat), Jérémy Page built his career within the renowned Robuchon group, where he honed his culinary skills for 15 years. In 2021, Jérémy Page struck out on his own and joined 1741 as head chef. A successful gamble, as he would go on to win the title of “Grand de demain,” awarded by Gault & Millau, just a few months later.
